Our Mission

Every Type's mission is to make psychological self-understanding tools accessible to the general public, not just those with specialized training. Concepts derived from psychology research are often confined to academic journals and professional texts, making them difficult for everyday people to access. We bridge this gap by providing tests based on validated psychological frameworks that allow anyone to systematically explore their personality traits and behavioral patterns.

We currently operate five tests (Attachment Style Test, Trauma Response Test, People Pleaser Quiz, Rejection Sensitivity Test, and the 2026 Winter Olympics Personality Test), offering 19+ detailed result types. We plan to continue developing new tests grounded in psychology literature.

How We Build Tests

Every test at Every Type undergoes a systematic design process. We begin by reviewing core theories and academic literature in the relevant field of psychology to define the psychological dimensions we aim to measure. For example, the Attachment Style Test is designed based on Bowlby's attachment theory and Bartholomew & Horowitz's four-category model of adult attachment (secure, anxious-preoccupied, dismissive-avoidant, and fearful-avoidant).

During question construction, we apply principles of psychometrics to minimize double negatives, leading questions, and social desirability bias. Scoring uses a weighted algorithm across psychological dimensions, and result interpretations comprehensively cover the psychological characteristics of each type, how they manifest in daily life, strengths and growth areas, and healthy coping strategies.

The Science Behind Our Tests

The Attachment Style Test is grounded in John Bowlby's attachment theory (1969), Mary Ainsworth's Strange Situation experiment (1978), and Bartholomew & Horowitz's (1991) adult attachment classification model. This framework has been validated through decades of developmental psychology research and is widely used for understanding adult interpersonal patterns.

The Trauma Response Test references the four response types defined in Pete Walker's Complex PTSD framework (fight, flight, freeze, and fawn). The Rejection Sensitivity Test is based on Downey & Feldman's (1996) rejection sensitivity model, while the People Pleaser Quiz draws from interpersonal psychology research on over-accommodation and self-suppression.

The 2026 Winter Olympics Personality Test is an entertainment-oriented test that combines sports psychology with personality typology, allowing users to explore their personality traits through fun winter sports analogies.

Content Quality & Accuracy

Every Type applies rigorous editorial standards to all test content. Result descriptions must include psychological evidence, and we avoid scientifically unverified claims or exaggerated language.

Test results are provided as reference material for enhancing self-awareness and exploring personal growth directions. Every result page clearly states that our tests do not replace professional psychological counseling or clinical diagnosis. When errors are reported, we re-examine the relevant psychology literature to verify accuracy and make corrections as needed.

Our Team

The Every Type team consists of researchers and content developers with deep interest in psychology. Team members continuously study academic literature in developmental psychology, clinical psychology, and interpersonal psychology, and specialize in translating this knowledge into accessible test formats for general users.

We value the balance between psychological rigor and user accessibility, with our core principle being that each test should be grounded in academic evidence while still enabling non-specialists to gain meaningful insights. Through multilingual support, we deliver the same quality test experience to both Korean and English-speaking users.
